| The Transfer Station is open Saturdays 8:00 am. to noon. Location of the transfer station is 1 mile west of Hwy 83 in North Lake on Petersen Rd. Garbage - must be in Town of Merton garbage bags. Place these bags in the four green dumpsters. Bags maybe purchased at the transfer station or at the Town Hall. They are $2.50 each or $120.00 for a box of 75. Brush - is accepted that last Saturday of the month. No painted or treated wood can be disposed of in this compost pile. Compost Pile - Yard waste consists of leaves, pine needles and grass clippings. Batteries-oil-anti-freeze - There are three metal containers for oil and two blue plastic barrels for anti-freeze. Batteries maybe given to the attendants at the top of the hill. Scrap metal - Place all scrap metal in the metal pile. Propane Tanks are taken. Appliances - Will take all appliances except those that contain freon. There will be a charge to accept freon based items. Tires - The cost to dispose of auto tires with no metal rims is $4.00/car, $6.00/truck tires, $12.00/tractor tires. Fluorescent Light Bulbs - All fluorescent light bulbs are $1.00 Dumpster - Any building materials, furniture, mattresses, any thing there already isn't a recyclable area for maybe disposed in the big dumpster. See the attendant for an estimate of the charge. |

no furniture, maybe dropped off in the metal shed Hazardous Materials - No hazardous materials accepted. You may take them to the Waukesha County drop off site located in Menomonee Falls. Paint/Gas/Chemicals/Solvents. Monday and Wednesday 11:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. W124N9451 Boundary Rd.
